Why you need Michael Spinks

About

I am a highly experienced bankruptcy law attorney located in Austin, Texas, who has helped hundreds of people file bankruptcy. I have filed over 900 chapter 7 bankruptcies.

I am licensed by the Texas Supreme Court and a member of the State Bar of Texas. Over the past twenty years, I have devoted a great deal of my law practice to the representation of consumer debtors suffering from financial problems. In filing and representing cases for over 900 bankruptcy clients, I have repeatedly demonstrated my experience and competence in handling a wide variety of matters in the area of bankruptcy, including debtor/creditor relations affected by bankruptcy. I am also experience in negotiating and settling consumer and business debts without the need for filing bankruptcy.

I am licensed to practice law in the State of Texas and in the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas (the Bankruptcy Court).

I think my experience is probably unlike most bankruptcy attorneys because I am also very experienced in Probate law, Family law, and Personal Injury. Quite often, the various laws and rules of death, divorce, and injury are tied into the bankruptcy case and must be handled carefully either before, during, and/or after the bankruptcy is filed.

In addition to filing more than 900 chapter 7 bankruptcy cases in my twenty years of work as a bankruptcy attorney, I have also represented clients in family law, probate (wills and guardianship), personal injury and general civil law.

I know the effect of a divorce, an injury, a death, or an inheritance on bankruptcy and collection issues. My extensive knowledge and experience in family law, probate, personal injury, and contract law is of great value to my clients who need to protect their assets while at the same time eliminate their debt issues.

Why is this important to you? If you have had medical, divorce, or family issues; a personal injury; or issues with death in the family or competency in the family, I am fully able not only to help you with these issues, but also to incorporate these issues into the bankruptcy and save you time, stress, and money.

Other areas of practice in which I am highly competent to practice, besides bankruptcy, include the following:

Family Law
Probate, Wills, Trusts
Personal Injury
Guardianship
General Contract Law

Practice Areas: Alternative Dispute Resolution, Bankruptcy, Business, Consumer, Creditor-Debtor, Family, Insurance, Litigation: Personal Injury, Real Estate, Wills-Trusts-Probate, Elder Law,
